Our mission
Our mission is to make it easier and affordable for citizens to run for local, county, and state offices, and to connect voters to candidates in a new way.
Democracy is for those who are involved, they are the citizens who lead us into the future, whether it is for the state legislature, Mayor's office, city council or school board. We believe if you don't get involved, you give your power to those who will.
In 2020 and 2021 we will be seeking funding through grants, crowdfunding and donations. We believe that Candidates Platform will be able to help take the money out of politics, take the fear out of running and bring all information needed for the voter to form an educated opinion, all on one platform.
The key to a true democracy is an educated voter not one who guesses in the voting booth. Candidates Platform gives easy access 24/7 for voters to know the candidate and to #KnowYourVote.
TIMELINE - CANDIDATES PLATFORM
2015
2015 - As social media took over as the source of news, especially for those 30 and under, and cable news became aligned more with political parties their was a disconnect for the voter. We noticed information on candidates were harder to find.
2016
Professional politicians were voted out of office in favor of those running for the first time or new to the political arena.
2017 -2018
A movement to Get Out The Vote started, yet finding out who was running and what candidates stood for became more challenging. We realized an educated voter was important to having a sound government. How could we make it simple, easy and all at one location for voters to connect with?
2019
The cost of running for local, county and state elected offices became overwhelming for most citizens. How could we help to take the money out of politics and create one platform for candidates to make all their information available to the voter.
2020-2021
After years of working on these issues we devised the Candidates Platform and #KnowYourVote movement we our launching the efforts to fund this worthy campaign.
